CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE— 2023–2024 REGULAR SESSION Assembly Bill No. 342Introduced by Assembly Member Valencia |
January 31, 2023 |
An act to add Section 5552.2 to the Business and Professions Code, relating to professions and vocations.
Existing law, the Architects Practice Act, establishes the California Architects Board in the Department of Consumer Affairs for the licensure and regulation of persons engaged in the practice of architecture. Existing law requires the protection of the public to be the highest priority for the board in exercising its licensing, regulatory, and disciplinary functions.
This bill would authorize the board to request that a licensee identify their race and gender on a form prescribed by the board.
